Our garantuee for you:
BEST LINEN
We use Oeko-tex certified linen. But most important – we use different weight linen for each items. Most of the seller use the same weight linen for every items. But what is o.k. for everything, is not best. You get to thin table linen or too heavy linen clothing.
Customizing linen fabric type for every item is our promiss for long-lasting items.
For table linen we use heavy, dense woven linen. I still have my grandmothers tablecloths in heavy linen – still great after 50 years of using.
But for linen clothing we choose light to medium dense woven linen fabric. You will fall in love with lightness of our linen blouses, but for trousers we use medium weight linen.
SUSTAINABILITY
My grandmother never talked about sustainability, but everything she was making it was the real think. Items was properly sewn in best linen, made to be worn, torn and passed down to generations. From her I also learned to not throw things away, so even now we do items with ZERO WASTE concept, and small pieces of fabric are made in smaller items, used for patches. Smallest items, that we can not use for items, we donate to company which compost it and improve soil for next flax growing cycle.
All our garments are made to be used, and also to be repaired! We often send bits of fabric to customers who want to patch up and mend a favourite piece of clothing they maybe bought many years earlier.
MINIMIZING CO2
Linen is made of flax plants and this plant really loves CO2. With a little help of the sun, flax plants on one hectare absorb more than a 3,7 metric tons of carbon dioxide and convert it into oxygen.
We strive to be carbon neutral production by using sun and wind power in our production.
