🧼 Always Love Linen — Washing & Care Instructions

Linen is a natural, breathable, and beautiful material that lives with you: it softens with use, develops character, and ages gracefully. With the right care, your linen pieces will stay looking and feeling wonderful for years.

🌿 General Linen Washing Tips

  • Machine wash gently — Linen can be machine-washed, but keep the cycle gentle and avoid harsh agitation.

  • Use mild detergent — Avoid bleach, strong chemicals, or harsh stain removers that can weaken the fibres and dull colours.

  • Wash with like colours — Keep similar shades together to avoid colour transfer.

  • Temperature — Warm water (up to 60 °C for table linens or heavier pieces) works well, but cooler or lukewarm water (30–40 °C) is ideal to protect fibres and minimise shrinkage.

🌀 Machine Washing

  • Delicate/gentle cycle — Let the fabric move freely and avoid overloading the machine.

  • Tumble drying — For soft, relaxed textures, a low-heat tumble dry is fine. Remove linens while still slightly damp to reduce excessive wrinkles.

  • Air drying — Hanging or flat drying is gentle on the fibres and helps preserve shape and colour.

☀️ Drying & Ironing

  • Air drying recommended — Linen dries quickly naturally.

  • Iron while slightly damp — If you prefer a smooth finish, iron on medium heat while the linen is still a bit damp.

  • Natural wrinkles are charming — Linen naturally creases — embrace the relaxed look or iron lightly for a crisp effect.

☁️ Shrinkage & Shape

  • All our linen items and already prewashed and will not shrink anymore.

  • To help maintain optimal shape, reshape and smooth garments or textiles while damp.

🌞 Sunlight & Storage

  • Protect from direct sunlight — Prolonged sun exposure can fade colours, especially darker shades.

  • Store with care — Roll linens instead of folding to avoid sharp creases.

By following these care steps, your linen will stay soft, strong, and full of life, becoming more beautiful with every wash. If you ever have questions, feel free to reach out — we’re here to help!
